BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER - Executive Travel:

Travelbusiness Incorporatedin Palm Springs, CA is an innovative corporate travel management company. We are a highly skilled team of industry experts who provide a unique combination of specialized travel services. We are seeking an experienced, full-time Business Development Manager to source and close warm sales leads for corporate executive travelers.

The Business Development Manager is an executive level sales partner tasked with utilizing referral generating client services to establish and maintain deep relationships with C-level executives and their assistants, becoming a primary contact for all client relationships and sales leads.

Success in this position requires an adaptable and highly-motivated self-starter with a competitive drive, persuasive communication style, and an autonomous entrepreneurial personality. The Business Development Manager develops and maintains a portfolio of business and is directly responsible for agency profitability, and creates and implements new project ideas and services.


Activities are divided approximately as follows:

  • 50% Outbound sales activities
  • 25% Relationship management
  • 25% Incoming sales and service fulfillment

Qualifications:

  • Four year degree or minimum four years of experience in a sales and marketing oriented position; or experience in high level customer service with robust sales objectives; outbound sales experience is strongly preferred.
  • Aptitude for assessing needs and thinking dynamically to deliver creative solutions for complex situations.
  • Confident, outgoing, and skilled in negotiations and combating prospect objections. Effectively continues to penetrate the market to uncover new business opportunities despite setbacks.
  • Minimum one year of experience working directly with C-Level Executives, MDs, PhDs, and their assistants.
  • Experience in mastering technical aspects of products sold in previous positions is required.
  • Minimum four years of experience working with MS Office, including Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Proficiency learning new industry software systems and protocols quickly.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, written and verbal communication skills.
  • High comfort level in business discussions with decision-makers. Comfortable making warm and cold sales calls.

Responsibilities:

  • Successfully generate potential high-yield sales leads and close opportunities into new accounts, utilizing a consultative approach to qualify key decision makers and influencers using Travelbusiness’ Tool Box and extensive personal follow-up. Build sales leads into long-term effective working relationships.
  • Implement innovative solutions and ideas to re-energize dormant sales leads, clients, and past accounts.
  • Create, track, close and report results of lead opportunities in Microsoft Dynamics CRM.
  • Generate and manage highly profitable and technically complex international multi-segment itineraries and tickets; perform advanced booking and problem solving functions in the Sabre GDS.
  • Develop a deep relevant understanding of travel concepts, traveler needs, world geography, and geo-political and geo-economic events, international fare construction principles, and supplier policies.
  • Effectively convey our value proposition and associated services to contacts.

OPERATIONS COORDINATOR

 

Travelbusiness Incorporated, located in Palm Springs, CA, is an innovative corporate travel management company. We are a highly skilled team of industry experts who provide a unique combination of specialized services to executives and investors of life science companies. We are seeking an experienced full-time Operations Coordinator (OC) to primarily support general bookkeeping and accounting functions specific to the travel sales. Previous experience in the travel industry is not required.

 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 4 years of experience providing accounting and administrative support in a professional office environment- Demonstrated working knowledge of business accounting principles is required
  • 4 years minimum experience working with MS Office, including Outlook and experience with word processing, database management, and creating forms, spreadsheets, and presentations (will be tested prior to an interview)
  • Type at least 50 wpm, with a high level of accuracy (will be tested prior to an interview)
  • Advanced computer skills with in-depth knowledge of keyboard shortcuts and internet navigation
  • Proficiency to learn new software systems and processes quickly
  • Ability to multi-task and meet scheduled deadlines while maintaining quality and accuracy
  • Must be an independent customer service oriented individual with the ability to anticipate requirements and prioritize with minimal supervision
  • Ability to think dynamically and find creative solutions in complex situations
  • Excellent interpersonal , organizational, written and verbal communication skills are required
  • Capacity to handle confidential business and sensitive personal matters with discretion and diplomacy
  • Four year degree or equivalent experience is required

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with various accounting and bookkeeping procedures, account reconciliation, commission tracking, sales data processing, expense coding, payroll, maintaining vendors and clients in databases, ensuring appropriate approvals, running accounting and sales reports, and performing other related duties
  • Process a variety of transactions including receipts, banking, back-office client invoice processing, vendor and supplier statement and invoice reconciliation and settlement, and credit card processing
  • Prepare and record a variety of reports and documents related to purchase orders, requisitions, statements, TRAMS entries, IAR/ARC settlements, online banking, corporate credit cards, merchant accounts, employee benefits, bank credit products, security deposits, real-estate transactions, corporate security, IT, and other related activities
  • Manage and organize Outlook (mostly calendars and contacts) for sales team
  • Take company minutes and maintain corporate records
  • Assist with vendor relationships- outside agencies and travel suppliers
  • Other personal and business tasks as assigned; run errands as needed

ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT

We are seeking an experienced full-time Administrative Assistant in an exciting and fast paced work environment.

 

Qualifications and Responsibilities:

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience providing administrative support
  • Proficient in MS Office and Outlook; and experience with word processing, database management, and creating forms, spreadsheets, and presentations
  • Excellent organizational skills and solid written and verbal communication skills required
  • Must be able to anticipate needs and understand urgency of responsibilities
  • Must be able to multi-task, work efficiently, pay close attention to detail, be confident in abilities, be effective, and be extremely task oriented
  • Exude poise and tact when working with executives and their clients
  • Possesses a high level of integrity (confidentiality is a must in this position), and be able to work well within a fast paced, strong willed work environment
  • Must be highly customer service oriented, a self-starter, and a team player
  • Ability to lift at least 25 pounds
